Authenticity: The work has significance and is related to consequences in the present lives of students.

Questions to ask yourself:
•Are the products to which the tasks are related perceived by students to be "real?" For example, do students perceive that the quality of their product will have consequences
for them, and do these consequences have meaning and significance to them?
•Are conditions under which the work is done similar to the "real" world?
Action:
Consider what will make this work authentic to the students for whom it is designed. This work must be real for students and resonate with them.
